Hank hanking out

I noticed several months ago the expression “at the end of the day” in interviews. Celebrities, authors, politicians, artists of every sort were using this phrase instead of “the bottom line”. At the end of the day, I have to live with myself. At the end of the day, it’s my life. At the end of the day, no one knows me better than myself. At the end of the day, couldn’t you think of something else to say?
